Antique Meissen Porcelain European Jay and Insect 12.25 inch Platter 1924-1934. Basket weave border decorated with hand Painted Insects. The center gloriously hand painted with an European Jay bird perched on an Oak and Acorn branch. On the reverse, the under glaze blue Meissen crossed swords mark, the Pfeiffer mark with dot used 1924 - 1934. Two cuts across the mark, I can see no apparent reason for them other than a dimple in the painting. Excellent Condition with no cracks or chips.
