Description

Fabulous design in this large, hand painted fine porcelain figure of a recumbent Maiden holding Flower encrusted oval bowl or Sweetmeat Dish. The interior is hand painted in Deutsche Blumen and Insects. Signed with the Meissen Crossed Swords and inscribed number 2858, impressed 73. Tremendous detail. Dates to the 1800s. She faces left.
Size: 7 1/4" high x 12" wide x 7" deep. Weighs 4 1/4 lbs.
Condition: As shown, as found. Old Restorations were made to left thumb and left leg. Discolored from age. Worthwhile professional restoration.
