Vintage 1960 Resistol Beaver Fur Felt Cowboy Hat 7 1/8 Self Conforming Unused

This is one EXQUISITE hat, kept in pristine condition from the 1960s (per Resistol Customer Service). It has a 3.25" brim, banded in beautifully stitched grosgrain (silk I believe) with a matching hatband. The crown is 6 3/4" tall. The feel is soft and luxurious but still very sturdy. The hand sewn lining indicates absolutely no sign of wear and the leather sweatband, while crazed, also shows no sign of wear. It is impossible to know the exact percentage of fur as the determinations varied over the years, but this one is very soft and likely high fur content. There is a black mark in the interior crown which appears to be inked numbers which I can not decipher. Otherwise, there are no moth holes, or any other visible flaws. Amazing for such an old hat.
