Offered here for your consideration is
a vintage Meissen Blue Onion (or Zwiebelmuster) pattern figural paperweight. The paperweight is an iconic Meissen form in the shape of a traditional slipper (Pantoffel) or shoe. Measures: It dates to the
mid 20th century.
It is in overall very good, as-pictured used estate condition with
some very, very fine and light glaze scratches here and there and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
The base bears a blue underglaze crossed swords factory mark and various numbers and cyphers.
